Terms of use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Friday Matrimony (“Friday Matrimony”, “we”, “us”) for the use of the website and app at https://visagan.in/ (the “Service”). By registering or using the Service you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy, our Refund and cancellation policy and our Safety and community guidelines.
1. What the Service is
Friday Matrimony is an online matrimonial service for people seeking marriage, including a Second Life section for divorced, widowed, separated and awaiting-divorce members. It is not a dating or casual relationship service. We help members find and contact each other; we are not a marriage bureau, broker or agent, and we do not arrange marriages.
2. Who can register
- You must be at least 21 years old if you are a man and at least 18 years old if you are a woman, and legally free to marry under the law that applies to you.
- If you are divorced or separated, you must say so truthfully. “Awaiting divorce” may be used only while a divorce case is pending, and you must not marry until the divorce is final.
- A parent, sibling, relative or friend may create a profile for someone else only with that person’s knowledge and consent. The person creating it is responsible for its accuracy.
- One person may have only one profile. You must not register if we have removed your profile before.
3. Your profile
- Give accurate, current information about yourself, including marital status, children, age, education, income, religion and horoscope. Do not misrepresent who you are.
- Upload only recent photos of yourself. Do not upload photos of other people, celebrities, children alone, or content that is explicit or offensive.
- Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Our team reviews profiles and photos and may edit, reject, hide or remove any content that breaks these terms.
4. Rules of conduct
You must not:
- ask any member for money, gifts, loans, investments, bank or card details, or OTPs, for any reason;
- demand or offer dowry, which is a criminal offence under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961;
- harass, threaten, stalk, insult or discriminate against any member, or send sexual or abusive messages;
- share another member’s photos, contact details or messages outside the Service without their consent;
- use the Service for business, advertising, marriage-bureau work, recruitment or to collect data;
- copy or scrape profiles, use bots, or try to bypass security, contact masking or plan limits;
- break any law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
5. Verification, horoscope and matches
- The blue tick is shown for members on a paid plan whose masked government ID our team has checked against the profile name and date of birth. It is not a background, criminal, financial, health or marital-status check.
- 10-Porutham results are calculated from the birth details members enter and follow traditional rules. They are indicative only and are not advice.
- We cannot guarantee that you will find a match or that information shared by other members is true. Before any commitment, families should verify details independently and meet in safe settings.
6. Plans and payments
- Registering, searching, receiving daily matches and accepting interests are free. Paid plans (currently ₹999 for 3 months, ₹1,499 for 6 months, ₹1,999 for one year) add features such as chat with photo and file sharing, phone numbers of members (after ID verification, within the daily limit of your plan) and more interests a day. Prices and features are shown on the Plans page before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. Plans start immediately on successful payment and do not renew automatically. Buying again adds time to your current plan.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund and cancellation policy.
- We may change prices or features for future purchases. Changes do not affect a plan you have already paid for.
7. Content and licence
You keep ownership of the content you add. You allow us to store, display and resize it to members of the Service, and to use it to provide and improve the Service, while your account is active. The Friday Matrimony name, logo, design and software belong to us and may not be copied.
8. Suspension and deletion
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may warn, restrict, suspend or delete an account, without refund, if it breaks these terms, if we receive credible reports of misuse, or if the law requires it. Where safe and lawful, we will tell you the reason.
9. Our role and liability
- We act as an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 for content posted by members, and we follow the due-diligence and grievance requirements of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
- The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the conduct of members on or off the Service, for decisions made on the basis of profile information, or for indirect losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- You agree to compensate us for losses caused by your breach of these terms or of the law.
10. Grievances
Report a profile from the app, or write to our Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, Friday Matrimony, visagandigitaledge@gmail.com, Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. Content that is clearly unlawful or that shows a person in a sexual or intimate way without consent is removed within 24 hours of a valid complaint.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Salem, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will show the new date at the top and tell you about important changes. Using the Service after the update means you accept the new terms.
These terms are provided for the operation of the Service and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
